OUR MISSION IS TO CREATE A PERMANENT IMPROVEMENT IN YOUR EVERYDAY BASELINE

THE REHAB TO PERFORMANCE PATHWAY

"In elite sport, rehabilitation already follows a clear interdisciplinary model. First, the physiotherapist is the point of contact providing initial care, diagnosis, pain management, early stage loading and guidance on tissue healing timelines. Following, the strength and conditioning coach then leads the rehabilitation progression, programming, load management, needs analysis, exercise selection, and preparation for return to performance. At various touch points across the rehab process both practitioners work together utilising their expertise to ensure the very best outcome for the individual.

This system is adopted by the very best. It is collaborative, specialised, and considered best practice. So we ask, why should this gold standard model be limited to elite athletes? If we are serious about improving patient outcomes, this approach must be accessible and the norm for everyone suffering with an acute injury or managing a chronic issue. Unfortunately, there is a lack of cohesion, practitioners frequently work in isolation, communication is inconsistent, and the rehabilitation process becomes fragmented and poorly explained. This leads to a disjointed rehab process, poor practice and thus subpar outcomes. The rehab to performance pathway was created to deliver what I believe should be consistent across healthcare. The success of this pathway for our clients, where previously they were left frustrated or dejected by the current norm, highlights the absolute necessity of it".

I sustained an ACL injury, Jamie helped me through the post surgery rehab training and I came back at my strongest stage ever, even stronger than before injury. Both my deadlift and chin-ups hit the PB!

I was introduced to Jamie after sustaining a serious spinal injury from a cycling accident. My progress 5 years on is more than I ever expected. Jamie has worked tirelessly in developing a training programme suitable for me and over time has constantly adapted and progressed our training to challenge me. All of this together with encouragement and a little humour has made for a perfect combination!

I sustained a Grade 3 ATFL (lateral ankle ligament injury while running) and had developed elbow tendonitis which was waking me up in the night and both stopping me from doing what I loved. This is when I joined perma performance and Jamie's sessions. He explained stopping training completely is not the solution. Focussed exercise under his guidance helped me realise this and gain confidence again. In 2-3 months I felt the difference in my elbow and now after 11 months I am lifting more weight than I have ever had. I even clocked a PB of sub 2 hrs in a half marathon!
